It would be exposed, but not useable. But that's easily solved. It
wouldn't be for any "object-oriented" reason that I can think of, and
application would seem to be limited at best.

I wouldn't have thought it'd be possible - wouldn't the beginning and
ending
P-specs be out of sequence?

Intrigued to know why you would want to embed one sub-proc into another,
when if you define it within the same source member it'll still be
exposed
to the other procedures within that module even if you don't export it.



Getting old, I can't remember if this is possible or not.



I know subroutines can be defined and used locally in a subprocedure.



If it is possible, please point to an RPG manual reference if you can.
I've
looked through the V5R3 ILE RPG Reference, didn't see anything (at
least I
didn't recognize it as being possible). If this support was added at a
later
release, please let me know.
