Our image vendor has a screen scraping program that will scrape what you tell it, using a hot key, but it then uses an internet scanning program and requires that
you allow people to use an FTP transfer to get the images to the destination. Which would require FTP access via the web to our i and our image server.

I would like to scrape the same PC screen, but somehow send the scraped information to a 5250 RPG program and perform the scan there ‘inside’ the i box.

I have searched on the internet for screen scrape programs, but did not find any that will write to a text file and give me enough control to know who created the text file.
I want the screen scrape to occur with a hot key and let the save of the text file to happen transparently to IFS with it named so I can identify it.
The closest I found was Snag it. Playing around with a demo version gave me the ability to save to a text file. It just numbered the files 0 to 999 as it created them, so I did not have control to name it in a way that I could relate it back to the user.

Thanks.
