No, I don't know what it (SQL) is doing and most of the time I am quite comfortable with that. It should just do it. I don't think that I would understand what it would do even if it would explain it to me. So a black box is really ok for me. I just want to use it. I don't necessarily want to understand the internals. So I don't try to assume too much about those black boxes.
