Sorry. I meant that it had changed in the sense that *NULLIND was available.. And it wasn't clear (to me - especially since V5R4 is not accessible to me now) how far that went. I think that's what Paul was asking.

Changed? They haven't changed to my knowledge in 30+ years. And I
didn't say he should "just know", I said that he should take Barbara's
word for it.

In the section about the OPTIONS(*NOPASS) keyword, it says:
"If the unpassed parameter is accessed in the called program or
procedure, unpredictable results will occur."

Hmmm... that seems pretty clear to me.
