I have been assuming that we are only talking about RPG rules here;
where RPG currently requires a file name or a format name, for the
RPG language to allow one to stand in for the other. The RPG compiler
would then make the substitution so the compile would proceed as
though the RPG programmer had actually coded the file name or format
name as usual.
