... no, its a little bit taste of Java.
I'm teaching java to rpg programmers since more than 10 years - and in the beginning everybody tried to give me the advice to show how to do the same with java as doing with RPG. A little bit later a book Java for RPG programmers was published, after reading this, I started to think about how to learn programming in RPG new, afterwards having learned programming in Java - RPG for Java programmers.

Hi,

I'm used to put all my global vars to a datastructure called
this with keyword qualified, as the following example

d this ds qualified
d myVar1
d* followed by other global declarations

you would have no duplicate names and its good for readability.

I like that. But you're not tempted to put Diese as your ds name? :-)
