Hi, Birgitta:

The PGMENTMOD ("Program entry procedure module") specifies the *MODULE that contains the "entry point" to be used when the ILE bound *PGM is called as a *PGM.

There are actually two entry procedures generated by the ILE compilers -- the Program Entry Procedure (or PEP) that retrieves the OPM style parameters passed via an OPM parameter list, and then passes control to the User Entry Procedure (or UEP). This is why you always see that extra call level when you display the program invocation stack (e.g. in DSPJOB) for ILE *PGMs. See "ILE Concepts" for more information.

It sounds like some of your confusion may be a result of a rather terse translation -- perhaps IBM might accept a PMR or DCR to correct this?

HTH,
Mark

It's the term that is used within the CRTPGM command (additional parameters,
first option!)
In the English Version you'll find "Program entry procedure module" in the
German version it is shortened to "PEP Modul" (I think because of
translation, even though Programmeingangsprozedur can also be shortened to
PEP either).

Online help:
"Specifies the module name that contains the program entry procedure
specification to be used for this program."

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards
