I would like this.... if Customer.Type in ('B', 'C', 'D') ... else ... endif

Although technically you use %LookUp to accomplish the same thing if %lookup(customer.type:validtypes) <> 0

Which would no longer compile :-)

All I want now is to have a parameter to the SELECT
statement, which can be used in conjunction with each of the
WHEN statements to equate to a boolean true or false:

SELECT Customer.Type;
WHEN 'A';

which is much nicer (IMHO) than:

Customer.Type = 'F';

...
