That DOES work, but only with RSTDSP(*YES). I tried it once, but I must
have tried it with RSTDSP(*NO). Also, you can't have the WRITE between
the READC and UPDATE, you must do it after the UPDATE as you suggested.

The RSTDSP(*YES) is only required when you're doing multiple calls, which
in turn requires a WRITE to the subfile control each time.
