Another solution might be to use a stored procedures and do the join in the
stored procedure. You can join between tables on two different systems on
the SQL Server pretty easily. Not sure what you are doing or what you are
trying to accomplish but writing a stored procedure in SQL Server and
calling to it from the AS/400.  A lot simpler.
