I believe there are testing tools out there to test REST queries. You can make sure the web service is working properly.

I passed it a timeout value of 600 seconds but it returns instantly. No idea
why it would be closing the connection. Nothing in Scott's code is doing it.


May have to write a piece of Java to do it.
