in the various versions, as well as a link to a Redbook on using the 
.Net provider. It also mentions that Access for i has the full technical 
reference in the Programmer's Toolkit. The 6.1 and 7.1 versions target 
the Microsoft 2.0 Framework. 7.1 version has XML support, among other 
things.

The provider has functions for executing commands and calling programs 
and getting results back in various forms. Of course, database functions 
are in there, and using the system tables is a very nice way to go.
