That would work, but I was hoping that there was a real BIF that replaced the MOVEA op code.

If I'm understanding you, you'd probably want to use %SUBST of the field to load the array.

for x = 1 to 24;
    myArray(x) = %subst(myField:x:1);
endfor;

Subject: Using %SUBAR to load array from a field

I have an array of 24 elements that I need to load from a field.
In fixed form, I would use the MOVEA to do this.
In Free Form, I am attempting to use the %SUBARR BIF.
However, what I end up with is all elements of my array set to the same value, which is the first element of the array.
The statement is coded as follows:
 %SubArr(Lines : 1 : %Elem(Lines)) = XsScrn;
Lines is defined as 24 entries
XsScrn is a field from a file that is 1920.

What am I missing?

Thanks,
