FWIW i'd still code it with the different dates, what if the
requirements/process changes? then you'll have to modify the program. if
you code it correctly now you'll have no issues should the process change.

Thanks,

For the application that I am developing, the start and end times will
always be on the same day.

Thanks for the heads up if I have to do this where they are not the same.

Mmm.

I wonder if the OP is pretty sure that the two events (let's call them T1
and T2) occur in the same day? Suppose that T1 is 23:15:00 and T2 is (next
day) 01:15:00 ? At that point, you have to make sure to use Timestamp
fields, not only Time fields.

It can be done with Time fields and IFs, but the code lose clarity that
way...

Out of curiosity, what happens if the difference between the two times
is > 24 hours? For example, if the difference was 24:00:01, would not
the result of the addition = 00:00:01? I have never needed to find the
difference between times so I have not tried this nor, obviously, had to
consider it in a program.

Thanks.

Use the %Diff Bif to get the difference in seconds. Then add the
seconds
to a time field set for midnight (00:00:00).

Sheer elegance in its simplicity! I shall commit this one to memory!
