Hi,

calculate the difference in seconds, then divide through 3600 take the rest
and divide it through 60

D MyTime DS
D TimeDiff 6S 0
D Hours 2S 0 Overlay(TimeDiff)
D Mins 2S 0 Overlay(TimeDiff: *Next)
D Secs 2S 0 Overlay(TimeDiff: *Next)

D TotalSecs S 10I 0
/Free
TotalSecs = %Diff(Time2: Time1: *S);
Hours = %Div(TotalSecs: 3600);
Mins = %Div(%Rem(TotalSecs: 3600): 60);
Secs = %Rem(%Rem(TotalSecs: 3600): 60);
/End-Free

Or simply use embedded SQL:
/Free
Exec SQL TimeDiff = :Time2 - :Time1;
/End-Free

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Betreff: Difference between 2 time values expressed in hh:mm:ss format

Is there an easy method to do this?
I have 2 time fields:  10:05:20 and 10:03:05.
I would like to get the difference for reporting between the 2 times in
00:02:15 (hhmmss).
The %Diff  bif will return the differnece in *Days, *Min or *Sec.
Given that, how can I get the result in the desired format.

Thanks,

Jeff Young
