No YiPs ... that ain't the problem. The problem is that 18 of your 20
developers either have no interest or are not successful in extending
their skill set and knowledge. If they want to use such short names for
procedures/variables my guess is they are stuck at RPG III in regard to
the syntax.

I also totally agree with Mihael. The use of Content Assist
in WDSCi / RDi / RDP makes a nonsense of the short-is-quicker
rule.

Which came first, long names or content assist?
I hadn't thought. Out of nearly 20 programmers, we are 2 that use WDSCi.
I don't know why that is. Each developer has WDSC V6 installed. I
suspect it's because there are no YIPS among us.
