This would be fantastic news.

I wouldn't go that far. It's useful in that the compiler can generate
internal prototypes for verifying internal procedure calls...

Nah ... I think some of other enhancements are more interesting...

To be fair, this all of this is all purely subjective. One reason I am
excited and consider it "fantastic" is because it is one (of many features)
I'd personally like to see in RPG. I also know having to prototype
everything drove me CRAZY when I started RPG 5 years ago, so I think this
could prove very helpful to people moving to RPG from another language.

Plus I am easily excitable. :)
