Hi, Terri:

There are many things that could be going on here.

Let's run a few diagnostic steps...

Issue:
WRKOBJ *ALL/srvpgmname *SRVPGM

This is to determine if there might be any "rogue" copies of that *SRVPGM in some other library on the system.

Note the results.

Next, issue:
DSPLIBL

Are there any libraries in your library list that do not belong there? What is your *CURLIB set to? In particular, is there perhaps some other library in your library list, ahead of the library where you believe this *SRVPGM should reside, and that might contain some other copy of the same named *SRVPGM? This could mean that, at runtime, when you load that program (the one you put under debug) and it resolves to the *SRVPGM, it might be resolving to the "wrong" one ... :-o

Let me know if that helps ...

All the best,

Mark S. Waterbury

Hi,
Ok, this is what I have just done:

Compiled the module using option 15 from SEU
Changed replace module to *yes
Changed debug option to *source
Left everything else as defaults

Compiled successfully

Did UPDSRVPGM
Put in the service program name & library
Put in the module name & library
Change Export to *all (tried with *current also)
Put in the binding directory & library
Said it updated successfully

Log off and back on again
Put the program calling the service program into debug
Step into the module
Skips lines and the new field does not exist

Do a DSPSRVPGM
On the module screen, it shows my module with todays date.
Module creation date and time is the time I did the compile.
Source file change date/time is from this morning.

Doing a WRKOBJ, there is only one version of the module and the service program
Any ideas?
