In this example, gDS is not being filled by wDS. Is it because wDS is
qualified?

D wDS DS LIKEDS ( gDS )

gDS = wDS;

There is no reason for this to fail. It is, as you thought, a move
operation from one field to another. Qualification has no bearing on it.

What symptoms lead you to believe it does otherwise?
