You might want to have a look at the BASICS1R7 module from the BASICS1
service program from Thomas Raddatz (http://www.tools400.de). It
contains a procedure names BASICS1R7_f_genCRC32. It might be what you
need.

And IIRC the zlib library can be compiled on the i and has some CRC
features. You also might want to try this out.
