There is no difference between the two binding methods Rob.
V6.1 makes it even easier to do this kind of stuff because you can
pass the file(s) as a parm to a generic I/O routine. That has the
advantage that the program itself "owns" the file - and therefore the
current cursor position. That gets rid of one problem of generic I/O
service routines in that if used from multiple points in the job you
cannot rely on the file's cursor position.
