The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I usually code procedure parameters with the Const keyword. It has its
limitations, but you can receive expressions instead of referenced
parameters, making the numerical type less relevant.
I imagine a procedure that could accept strings and numbers in the same
parameter would be a kind of pain to properly validate.

Hi Dennis,
[...]
The same is true of the %date(), %char(), %int(), etc, etc BIFs... they
all can take their input from just about any data type. Something we
can't really do with subprocedures.
