Thanks Care and Alan for your reply;
I got this working I think because I removed the quote. Thanks
Here is what I ended up with for my select..
SELECT * FROM SWFILES/CLMPAY WHERE CMCOCD = ? AND CMPSTD =
? ORDER BY CMPSTD, CMCOCD, CMAGNT, CMCOVC, CMPOLM, CMFILE,
CMPCHK
Alan the reason I wanted to prep, was because I may want to substitue the
library name, the host variables each time the program is run, depending
if this is run in production, or against a different company(CMCOCD) or
period ending date (CMPSTD)
The above was accomplished by hard coding the library name (SWFILES) I
also successfully ran it by removing the library reference completely.
Any suggestions on how I can do it better, much welcome,
I don't do embedded SQL often, so each time is a challenge.
Thanks again for your help.
Regards,
