(confused) Last I checked, EDI data isn't arranged into a data structure. It's a delimited file format...

Example:

TD5*B*2*MWRA*M*MIDWEST REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT~

I don't see how a DS would help here... it doesn't have values at fixed-positions in the string, like a data structure provides. It's just delimited values.

Building this yourself would involve something like:

Segment = %trimr(SegId) + '*'
+ %trimr(Elem01 + '*'
+ %trimr(elem02)
... etc ...

I'm looking for data structures for EDI x.12 856 (shimpent details)

I know I can buy formatters and translators.
We already have 2 programs that format different EDI trans
(payment, order placement) so if I just had the data structures
I would be 94% there (ok, maybe 93%)...

I have googled for a while this morning, but I haven't found any hits.
