I'm afraid C makes me rant more than any other language I have to use.
I didn't see your comments as soothing so they were unhelpful on this
occasion but don't let that stop you trying in future.
I found some ancient dialogue (December 1994 to be precise) between us
the other day when searching for notes on the 5250 data stream.
By the way: the word "it's" is a contraction meaning "it is." When
you want
to write "pertaining to it" or "belonging to it," et cetra, please
drop the
apostrophe.
Oops--hit me where it hurts! I know that. I usually catch most of my
spelling and grammar mistakes before I post (depends on how quickly I
type and send) but I see I've used "it's" incorrectly on TWO occasions
in my previous post. That's shameful! I must write out the following
100 times:
It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it is.
If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers. It isn't her's. It isn't
our's either. It's ours, and likewise yours and theirs.
I don't recall the source of that.
Regards,
Simon Coulter.
