Not an expert on RE. Can some one verify that I intepreted this RE from
http://systeminetwork.com/article/validate-e-mail-address-regular-expression
correctly?
^[A-Z0-9._%-]+@[A-Z0-9.-]+\.[A-Z]{2,4}$
- Must have a @ sign
- At least one character before the first @ sign
- All characters located before the first @ sign must be one of these: A
thru Z, 0 thru 9, ., _, %, or -
- At least one character after the first @ sign and before the last . sign
- All characters located after the first @ sign and before the last . sign
must be one of these: A thru Z, 0 thru 9, ., or -
- Must contains two to four characters after the last . sign and those
characters must be one of these: A thru Z
