Adding one month to month-end works this way:

2009-10-31 + 1 month = 2009-11-30
2010-01-31 + 1 month = 2010-02-28 (non-leap year)
2012-01-31 + 1 month = 2012-02-29 (leap year)
2009-02-28 + 1 month = 2009-03-28
2009-12-31 + 1 month = 2010-01-31

Or this scenario:

mydatefield = %date(20091031:*ISO)
%month(mydatefield) +=1;

Now what's in mydatefield? 2009-12-01?

And how does it work in december?
%month(mydatefield) = 12 --> += 1 ??? --> 13 ???
Or will it work correctly?

Anyone thought of submitting a DCR to be able to assign a date portion
from the left side of the equation? Like,
%month(mydatefield) +=1;
%day(mydatefield) = 20;

Does anything else think that
SomeDays = subdt(mydatefield:*days);
is more cryptic than
SomeDays = %day(mydatefield);

Or are they afraid that you'll get confused between %day and the
existing
%days as in
dueDate = SellDate + %days(TermDays);
