Hi,

it won't work correctly. Because the month is converted into a real number
(which has nothing to do with a date field).
When using this technique, you have to check the month manually:

If %Month(MyDate) = 12;
NewMonth = 1;
Else;
NewMonth += 1;
EndIf;

An other solution may be using data structures:

DSMyDate DS
DateChar 10A
YearNum 4S 0 Overlay(DateChar)
1A Overlay(DateChar: *Next)
MonthNum 2S 0 Overlay(DateChar: *Next)
1A Overlay(DateChar: *Next)
DayNum 2S 0 Overlay(DateChar: *Next)
Date D DatFmt(*ISO) Overlay(DateChar)

/Free
Date = %Date() + %Month(1);
DayNum = 20;
Dsply Date;
/End-Free

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

And how does it work in december?
%month(mydatefield) = 12 --> += 1 ??? --> 13 ???
Or will it work correctly?

Anyone thought of submitting a DCR to be able to assign a date portion
from the left side of the equation? Like,
%month(mydatefield) +=1;
%day(mydatefield) = 20;

Does anything else think that
SomeDays = subdt(mydatefield:*days);
is more cryptic than
SomeDays = %day(mydatefield);

Or are they afraid that you'll get confused between %day and the
existing
%days as in
dueDate = SellDate + %days(TermDays);
