Are you saying that you update the value of the field in the control
record when you detect an error in column I but the value does not show
when you re-display the subfile?

Some good responses. Thanks. Yes, it is a load-all subfile.

My issues arise when there is an error in a code in column I. I want to

send a subfile message and RI the invalid field(s). That works OK.
However it does not allow a a change in the field in the Control Record,

so far as I can see?
