CONST is a convention - there is no underlying system support for it. It is up to the programmer to make sure that he follows all the rules as well.As Jon says, CONST is a convention; you can, with some work, shoot yourself in the foot. I use CONST mainly to allow expressions or literals to be passed to the called procedure.
