I always check the archives here first, then post to see if someone else has
ran into the same problem.

My dept. manager has to be the one to make any inquiries to vendors as he is
the only contact point listed, by company policy.

Did you contact Mr. Cozzi? Bob's always been most helpful when I have

Subject: Retrieving calling procedure

We are at V5R4 and I have a subprocedure that is called from two other
subprocedures. I am trying to retrieve the name of the calling
subprocedure
using xtools, but it is not working.

d/include XTOOLS/QCPYSRC,RPGLIB

d CallingProc s 256a varying

inside the subprocedure I have;

CallingProc = GetCallerInfo('*PROC');

but after GetCallerInfo runs CallingProc =
'RPGLIB '

We have been using GetCallerInfo for over a year to get the calling program
without a problem, but the xtools help states that this will also return
the
calling procedure or module.

Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?
