Would it be better to define the pri display as 132 in DSPSIZ. All the 80 screens can be DSPMOD(*DS3) at the record level and since it fits within 80 pos, no field level conditioning is required.

The records using 80+ positions would fall under the PRI specified by DSPSIZ and still require no conditioning.

Ok, got that. Pri and sec are not effected by DSPMOD. I have to define everything with a secondary condition if it exists outside 24x80 (pri).

Read the second-level text for message CPD7445. The last sentence in
the 'Cause' tells you exactly what is causing the issue with this line:

A *DS3 1 50
CPD7445: Condition name not valid secondary display size.
