Scott, I think one could avoid the separate setting of variable length. The
change would involve coding:

%Len(String) = RdLine( cli : %addr(Input_String: *Data):
%size(Input_String) :

Problems with this code:

a) %size() will give you a number that's too large, so unless you're "lucky", you'll end up corrupting memory.

b) RdLine() can return -1 if an error occurs. If that happens, your problem will blow up, because you can't set %len() to -1.
