The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Thanks for the replies Eric & Scott. I'll give Scott's suggestion a try -
at least to see if I can get it working.
"Though, personally, I'd suggest eliminating rdline as it's extremely
inefficient."
Scott - do you have any recommended alternatives to rdline that I could
use to 'rip & replace' ?
This is one of my early socket programs using the 'spawning' approach
described in Scott's tutorial. It's worked great for one of our lab
interfaces which used a fixed length "Input_string". We now have an
updated application for this lab e interface that now uses a variable
length "Input_String" - hence my problem. We are getting more requests for
lab interfaces and as time goes by I suspect we will be getting more
disparate Input_Strings and it would be nice to have an application in
place that will accept variable length data from multiple facilities.
Thanks!
Regards, Jerry
