The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I tend to prefer static SQL...
Exec sql declare C1 cursor for
Select ...
From ... join ... on(...)
Where ( :ScreenTown = ' ' or
Town = :ScreenTown ) and
( :ScreenSurname = ' ' or
Surname = :ScreenSurname) and
...

Subject: RE: Load a subfile with clients selected by user
Remember when I used the BETWEEN? Now think like this:
if ScreenTown=*blank;
FromTown=*loval;
ToTown=*hival;
Else;
FromTown=ScreenTown;
ToTown=ScreenTown;
Endif;
if ScreenSurname=*blank;
FromSurname=*loval;
Tosurname=*hival;
Else
FromSurname=ScreenSurname;
ToSurname=ScreenSurname;
EndIf;
// Repeat for rest of screen selections
MySqlStmt = 'Declare C1 cursor for Select ...' +
' from ... join ...' +
'where town between ? and ? ' +
'and SurName between ? and ?';
exec sql Prepare Stmt1 from :MySqlStmt;
exec sql Execute Stmt1;
exec sql Open c1 using :FromTown, :ToTown, :FromSurname, :ToSurname;
Get it?
