Basically, there are AS400 developers who are unclear about VARPG.
IBM's marketing has let the organization and AS400 staff down again.

What made you think I had an opinion on your motives, or the motives of any other person at IBM who may have sponsored or promoted VARPG. I just made an observation about what happened with the product, given the benefit of hindsight.

I spent five (5) years developing Windows applications, myself. As far as my own efforts to develop Windows applications, about the only good I can say is that it broadened my understanding. Given hindsight, I would have been further along in my career, writing ILE service programs during that time.
