I have an issue with a DDS display file using the help key. Both HELP and ALTHELP
are defined at the file level. There are no second level text messages
for ERRMSGID or SFLMSGID keywords. There is also no HLPARA keyword.
Instead, a test for the HELP key is monitored and a program displays text. Within
the same program, and dispay file the help key works correctly. However within the
same program, a new subfile control record is executed within a procedure. Within
this procedure, if the help key is pressed the following error occurs:

 Message ID . . . . . . :   MCH3601       Severity . . . . . . . :   40
 Message type . . . . . :   Escape
 Date sent  . . . . . . :   06/19/09      Time sent  . . . . . . :   10:31:31

 Message . . . . :   Pointer not set for location referenced.
 Cause . . . . . :   A pointer was used, either directly or as a basing
pointer, that has not been set to an address.

Within debug the above message occurs with the EXFMT statement prior to the next
statement.
Am I missing a DDS keyword? Am I stepping on an indicators?
Thanks
