Hello,

Hmmm.. I don't remember writing that. It must've been a long time ago.

But, I sure don't see anything wrong with the code you posted. I tried it (copy/paste from forum archive) and it worked okay for me.

Is it possible that your copy of the code doesn't match what you posted? Or that something else in your program is causing it to fail? Can you write a very short, stripped-down, program that recreates the problem, verify that it recreates the problem, and then post it here so others can copy/paste and try the full program that fails in your environment?

I'm having a strange problem with Scott Klement's QUSLJOB example.

I got it to compile all right with our V4R2 compiler (after recoding the FOR loop), but something funky is happening with the call to QUSLJOB:

D QUSLJOB PR ExtPgm('QUSLJOB')
D UsrSpc 20A const
D Format 8A const
D QualJob 26A const
D Status 10A const
D ErrorCode 32767A options(*varsize)
D JobType 1A const options(*nopass)
D NumFldsToRtn 10I 0 const options(*nopass)
D FldsToRtn 10I 0 const options(*nopass)
. . .
c callp QUSLJOB(JOBLIST: 'JOBL0200':
c '*ALL *ALL *ALL': '*ACTIVE':
c dsEC: '*': 1: SBSDNAME)

It seems that when it's executed, the API throws a CPF1866:
Value 1906 for number of fields to return not valid.
1906 is the key being passed as SBSDNAME.

Anybody know why it would lose a parameter?
