The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Chain works on partial key and if found it returns the record.

Subject: CHAIN in program-described mode
When CHAINing a file in program-described mode (the file is
externally-described, but its exact record structure is not known at
compile time), is there a way to CHAIN on a partial key, the way you can
in externally-described mode? Or do you have to do a SETLL and READE?
