The answer I was really looking for was, it would appear then thatthere
is no knowledge of a java interface from RPG that is analogous to thei5
JAVA cmd which permits either a class or a jar.or
Previously, I have been using both the JAVA cmd via CLP and the java
-jar option via QSH with success.
Invoking using this method by referencing a jar file is obviously the
simplest technique but not necessarily the method that performs the
best. I tend to favour RPG because the job has it's own JVM.
As I suspected, I shall have to resort to digging in to the manifest
find other material which resolves the actual class to be referencedin
RPG.running
BTW, the product I'm testing is PD4ML, which so far seems to be a
reasonable prospect.
Thanks, Peter

Subject: Executing a jar file from RPG
The library website at boulder seems to be down at the mo.
Has anyone had the need to run java from RPG thru a jar file?
I have a java product for which the instruction is to launch by
a jar file directly as opposed to a java class.either
The i5 supports this technique via the JAVA cmd which will accept
a class or jar.########################################################################
But is there a way to implement this from RPG similar to calling the
Main method of a java class.
