Hi,

1. remove the blank between the column (:) sign and the constant.
2. Instead of defining a constant, you need to define an (initialized) stand
alone field.

Betreff: SQL0312 variable non defined or not usable

Hi,

I wanted to code a constant in some embedded SQL.

Instead of something like :

WHERE condition = 'A'

I did

WHERE condition = : myConstant.

myConstant is in the main procedure as is the SQL code.
I think I read something about problems with the scope of host variables
before V6.1. I've tried putting everything in a subprocedure but no luck.

Any ideas?
