The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Barbara,
Again, didn't think of that.
Would the ExtFld be *in33 or just in33 (field in likerec)?
After using INDARA my problems were solved.
The program is pretty easy to follow, so now it can be used as a template
for maintenance in our shop.
The ExtFld would be *IN33. When the DS is qualified and you don't
rename the *IN33, then the compiler uses IN33 as the name, but you have
to say *IN33 on the rename.
But I would use the INDARA/INDDS solution too. I like it better than
renaming the subfields.
Although ... I've never really liked the way RPG associates fields with
files through F spec keywords like INDDS. I think it would be better if
they could be coded explicitly on the I/O operation, or be implicitly
handled by the compiler like %EOF etc. But since RPG _does_ handle
associated information that way, INDDS seems like the best fit for the
indicator problem.
