I also would recommend FTPAPI. Much better than playing the
script-and-parse game.

Sure...you can do that. Make sure you are accessing the correct member.
When you run your RPG program, does the txt member change?

Also, you might want to look at FTPAPI. It's a really good open source
product for doing things like this.
