HI Simon

Pardon my incredulity. This is the original question
--snip
Is it possible to setup 1 iSeries Access for Windows session that is
capable of viewing/maintaining ALL possible data held in a unicode
defined database ?
--snip
Since when did you last code something in Iseries Access that
enables you to view/maintain data in a database, UNICODE or otherwise.

Bruce's excellent presentation is full of code, CL DDS RPG and COBOL.
Does not that mean this is the best place for this discussion.
Or should we switch to the CL or DDS or COBOL forum.

HOW ON EARTH DO YOU THINK THIS TOPIC IS NOT RELEVANT TO RPG.

Because the original appender is not asking how to process Unicode or
DBCS data in RPG. The questions are entirely to do with how WinDOS
and iSeries Access handle data in different CCSID/Codepages. Thus,
nothing to do with RPG, ergo, Midrange-L is the appropriate forum.
