I like driving a screw with a hammer, especially when that stupid cheap screw gets a stripped head because I used a drill with a screwdriver bit and it hit a knot and I got mad and ran the drill too long and too fast and that big hammer was just sitting there and that screw only had to go in another 1/8 of an inch ..... BAM, BAM, BAM Happy camper :)

As long as there isn't a schema saying otherwise, this is okay but if you're getting into complex XML documents, why wouldn't you just use an XML parser in the first place? Using CGIDEV2 for this seems a bit like driving a screw with a hammer.

I am not an xml expert but would it cause problems if every instance of the parent have something like...
<Order></Order>
Aka a null value for "Order"

How does one normally handle optional xml tag when using CGIDEV2 to
create the xml data?
