Alan, This will definitely be what I use when we get to V6.1. Thanks for
the input....

Hello All

My question is as follows. I am writing a RPGLE program using
embedded SQL. Using a cursor, I come to the Fetch Next. Here the
program hangs up because it is trying to read a record that is locked by
another user. I need to update this record. But If it is locked I
simply want to skip over it. So I check for the error in the SQL STAT
and know that it is locked. So I try to do another fetch next.
However, the Fetch next just tries to read the same locked record, over
and over. How can I skip or bypass this record. If I was on V6.1 I
could use the SKIP RECORD LOCK. However, I am not and have spent way to
much time trying to figure it out. Please Help. Thanks
