What I have done is kludgy but it solves the problem of the double underline for accountants.
You want to separate your totaling groups anyway, so skip to the next line and then print equal signs under your totals. ( ========== ========== )

Its works, its easy to do, and it looks ok.
If you use this solution, there is no need to give me credit. none! nada. no way. :)

Scott,

1) It's already in *SCS format - using O specs, so it's more of an effort to externalize it and then add the functionality.

2) AFP functionality is not consistent between different makes and models of printers, especially when HPT is used.

3) Since this is the only AFP functionality required I wanted to see if anyone could think of a quick way to accomplish this.

If you're willing to use AFP instead of SCS, then yeah you can draw
lines, boxes, etc with the DDS keywords for lines and boxes.

But SCS lacks that capability. I'm curious why you want to limit
yourself to SCS?

Is there a technique for printing a double underline in an *SCS
spool file? It's used to go under a total line on an invoice. It
seems to be an accounting practice.

The target is an HP Laser printer. It's defined w/ a *DEVD
containing an IP address.

Physical attachment . . . . . . . : *DIRECT
Host print transform . . . . . . . : *YES
System driver program . . . . . . : *HPPJLDRV

A string of equal signs (============) is not acceptable to the client.

Would a Workstation customizing object do the trick? If yes, can
you supply an example of doing this?

Thanks.
