In 1966 Bohm and Jacopini proved mathematically that it is possible to express any algorithm in terms of only three constructs, along with an arbitrary number of boolean flags [3].

Just because it _can_ be done doesn't mean it _should_ be. I don't know if has proven, but I suspect RPG is Turing complete. That said, I'm not about to start writing MMORPGs* or device drivers in RPG :)
