I've actually done some of this using sockets. We receive a scan from a
networked scanner on a conveyor. The RPG evaluates the scan and
determines if it is valid. If there is a problem, the program sends a
socket message to a diverter a little down the track and basically just
tells it to "go". This diverts the box to a manual handling area in the
Distribution center. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
