AHHHH - I love the smell of facetiousness in the morning
Don't worry Rob, I did not take your comment as being facetious
I had already tried your suggestion, and yes, the joblog did in fact start
that way.
The joblog itself was nothing BUT the same lines over and over and
over .......
for literally THOUSANDS of lines.
So many lines that the oldest lines (a few hours old) were dropped from the
beginning of the joblog
What I ended up doing was killing the job immediately, playing CPU to
create the data that was missing for the rest of the order that was being
processed, resetting certain data areas and restarting the job.
This time, no problem

I hope that this doesn't sound facetious but that cannot be the beginning

of the joblog. There should be something like "Job submitted" or some
such thing. Before trying the call again try a
CHGJOB LOG(4 00 *SECLVL) LOGCLPGM(*YES)
and see if your joblog has more detail.

Error message CPF5129
Sent by:
rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi guys
we are having a problem with a program
The joblog shows the following message

Message ID . . . . . . : CPF5129 Severity . . . . . . . : 50
Message type . . . . . : Escape
Date sent . . . . . . : 11/12/08 Time sent . . . . . . :
14:42:46
Message . . . . : I/O is not allowed because the program device or
member
PCSH00053P file PCSH00053P in library ZMODLIB10K is in error.
Cause . . . . . : An input/output (I/O) operation was requested for a
file
that is in error.
Recovery . . . : See messages in the job log or program message queue.
Correct the errors, and then try the request again.

Unfortunately that is the beginning of the joblog, so there is nothing to
look at prior to this

My question is:-
Does anyone know of an "easy" way to rectify this problem.

I googled.yahhoo-ed and ask.com'ed CPF5129. Even though other people have
asked the same question, there really wasn't a reply posted.

As always.
Thanks in advance
